PARIS — The Paris Public Library will host “The Visual History of Maine Through Postcards,” presented by University of Southern Maine associate professor Libby Bischof.
It will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 21, at the Deering Memorial Community Center next to the Paris Public Library on Main Street.
The program is made possible through a partnership between the Maine Humanities Council, the Margaret Chase Smith Foundation and the Paris Public Library. It’s part of the Maine Humanities Council’s “The World in Your Library” series.
Bischof specializes in 19th century American cultural history, with a special focus on the history of photography, particularly in Maine.
