The Mahoosuc Community Band is going on the road this summer, beginning with a concert at 7 p.m. Monday, June 25, in Mountain Valley High School’s Muskie Auditorium in Rumford. The program of popular and traditional music for concert band will include music of Glenn Miller, Herb Alpert, Leiber and Stoller, and John Phillip Sousa. Under the direction of Patricia Boyle-Wight, the members of the Mahoosuc Community band hail from 16 towns in Oxford County and Coos Countu in New Hampshire. Admission is free; donations are appreciated. Other concerts include St. Kieran Community Center for the Arts in Berlin, New Hampshire, on July 9 and West Parish Congregational Church in Bethel on Aug. 13.
