JAY — The Jay Village Water District issued a boil-water order Monday night for all customers on School Bus Road, Ludden Drive and Barker Street.
The district is working on a waterline break on Ludden Drive and once it’s fixed, water samples will be sent to Augusta to be tested for E.coli and coliform bacteria.
Water District Superintendent Mike Wells said affected customers should boil water for one minute. That includes water for drinking, brushing teeth and making ice. After the water is boiled, it can refrigerated.
The district will announce when the order is lifted.
