WEST PARIS — Clara Stetson Milligan went from this life to life with the Lord Jesus in heaven on Thursday, June 28. She was a resident of Ledgeview Living Center in West Paris.

She was born Sept. 9, 1923, at her grandmother’s house in Buckingham, Fla. She is the daughter of Dave Lee Flint and Cora Ann (Walker) Flint of Lehigh Acres, Fla. She was a student of local schools, graduating from Alva High School as class president in 1941. Clara then married Ralph L. Stetson Jr. in Buckingham, Fla. They then moved to Rumford. She was a member of the Virgin Memorial Chapel; she also joined the Dorcas Society and the Sara Ann groups at her church. She and Ralph loved square dancing and were members of the Mollyockett Square Dance Club.

Clara was secretary at the Diamond Match Co. in West Peru, later at the Rumford Insurance Co. and then at the Rumford Community Hospital.

With the passing of Ralph Stetson Jr. in April of 1983, she married Carl E. Milligan on Sept. 30, 1983, and they resided in Oxford and Fort Myers, Fla. Clara and Carl enjoyed doing oil painting and had the joy of being near her brothers and sister during the winter and her children and grands in the summer.

Clara is survived by her daughter, Linda Lee (Stetson), and husband Daniel Kimble, of Fayette; grandchildren Daniel Kimble Jr. of Fayette; Penny Kimble of Fayette; Kory Kimble of Chesapeake, Va.; Kim Akers of Rumford; Kristine Adams of Lehigh Acres, Fla.; and Ralph Stetson IV of Andover.

She has 12 great-grandchildren, six step-great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Clara also has a sister in Tampa, Fla., Mildred Hodges; and a brother, David Dennis Flint, of Fort Myers, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Alicia Flint, of Lehigh Acres, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews.

Clara was predeceased by her two husbands Ralph Stetson Jr. and Carl E. Milligan; a son, Ralph Lewis Stetson III; brothers William, Harry and Velton Flint.
