LEWISTON — Rolande Y. Lebrun, 90, of 10 Oak St., Lewiston, died at her home Saturday, June 23, surrounded by her family.

Born in Lewiston on March 7, 1928, she was the daughter of Benjamin and Alice Bilodeau Garneau. Educated in Lewiston schools, she married Joseph A.A. “Armand” Lebrun on Sept. 11, 1948. A devoted wife and mother, she worked for several years as certified nurses aide at the Marcotte Nursing Home, and later worked as a cook at Bates College.

Rolande enjoyed knitting, crochet, camping and playing cards and bingo with her friends, but her greatest joy came from time spent with her grandchildren.

A member of the former St. Joseph’s Church and a communicant of both Holy Family and Ss. Peter & Paul Basilica, she is survived by her loving husband of Lewiston; three sons: Raynald and wife, Linda, of Augusta; Leo and wife, Priscilla, of Lewiston; and Steve and wife, Jackie, of Greene; three daughters: Mirelle and husband, Richard Sutton, of Turner; Diane and husband, Dana Becvar, of Auburn; and Lorraine and husband, Orel Desjardins, of Bowdoinham; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Theresa Beaulieu.

Her family would like to thank everyone at Oak Park, the staff of Androscoggin Home Healthcare & Hospice and especially her caregiver, granddaughter, Megan Becvar, for all the loving care they gave Rolande during her final illness.
