Outdoor market seeking volunteers

DIXFIELD — The Dixfield Outdoor Market Committee is seeking volunteers for the Dixfield Outdoor Market that is annually on the third Sunday in August.

Persons are needed to chair this committee as well as volunteers to help out.

Woodstock Society to meet

BRYANT POND — The Woodstock Historical Society will gather at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 14, at the Woodstock Museum, Main Street, to continue work on cleaning and set-up. 

The July meeting will follow at 3 p.m.

Oxford Legion poker tournament

OXFORD — The Oxford American Legion will host a Texas Hold’em Tournament on Saturday, July 14, at the Legion Hall, 169 King St. Doors will open at noon; seating draw will begin at 12:45 p.m.; and play will start at 1 p.m.

Buy-in is $55 with a $5 optional for high hand. There will be cash pay-out for top three finishers. The fourth place finisher will receive a free buy-in gift certificate valid at any of the next tournaments, the fifth place finisher will receive a $25 off gift certificate valid at any of the next tournaments. The first person eliminated from the game will receive a free buy-in gift certificate valid at any of the next tournaments.

Food and refreshments will be provided by the Sons of the American Legion, Squadron 112.
