BETHEL — Michael W. Bulger, 57, died unexpectedly Tuesday July 3, at his residence in Bethel. He now joins his father, John “Red” Bulger, who died in 2011.

Born in Rumford on Sept. 27, 1960, he was a son of John and Colleen (Blanchard) Bulger. He was a graduate of Rumford High School. Michael worked at Gould Academy in Bethel as a cook. He enjoyed cooking, especially making breads.

He is survived by his mother, Colleen Bulger, of Rumford; two brothers, Gary Bulger and his wife, Joy, of Atlanta, Ga., and Gregory Bulger of Rumford.
