LEWISTON — Five managers of St. Mary’s Health System, a member of Covenant Health, were recently recognized by Maine’s Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve program with Service Member Patriot Awards.
They are Melanie Greaton, supervisor of physician network; Robert Kirouac, maintenance manager; Terry Lebrun, manager of physician practices; Ron Vachon, director of plant operations and maintenance; and Scott Young, director of facilities.
The Service Member Patriot Award recognizes employers’ efforts to support reservists in a variety of ways, including offering flexible schedules, providing time off around deployments, granting leaves of absence as needed and helping to care for their family members.
In praising St. Mary’s leadership, Matthew Collins, employer outreach director for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, said he has been a volunteer with the program in Maine for almost 20 years and never had five managers from the same employer nominated for Patriot Awards.
