LAGRANGE — A Farmington man and two children were injured Sunday night when the ATV they were riding went off a rail bed trail and struck trees in this Penobscot County town, according to Maine Warden Service.
Driver Danny Adams, 53, was seriously injured in the crash, Lt. Kevin Adam, search and rescue coordinator for the Warden Service, said in a news release.
Adams’ two juvenile passengers were wearing helmets and received minor injuries, the release said. Their names, ages and hometowns were not available Monday morning.
A LifeFlight helicopter took Adams to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, Adam wrote.
The Maine Warden Service is investigating the cause of the accident, which was reported at about 7:15 p.m.
Personnel from Lagrange and Bradford fire departments, Bradford Rescue, Three Rivers Ambulance Service and the Warden Service responded to the scene.
