SABATTUS — After a mobile home addition collapsed on Cross Road on Sunday night, falling 2 feet to the ground, the Fire Department shut off power to the property because of concerns of an electrical fire, according to Fire Chief Marc Veilleux.
The Red Cross said Monday that it was helping six people with food and shelter.
The Fire Department responded to 56 Cross Road after a call for help at 7:44 p.m. There were people in the room when it collapsed, but there were no injuries, the chief said.
Veilleux said the issue has been turned over to the town’s code enforcement officer.
