Ryan Smith of Farmington (No. 349) leads several hundred runners Sunday morning at the start of Emily’s Run at Edward Little High School in Auburn. The 5K race is one of the Triple Crown races in the area. The race, in its 14th year, is held in memory of Emily Fletcher, a local standout runner who was killed in a car accident in 2004. Money raised from Emily’s Run funds two scholarships presented to deserving students. The money has also funded a reading room in Emily’s and her mother’s honor at the Auburn Public Library.
