WELD — Franklin County sheriff’s deputies are investigating burglaries at two camps on Center Hill Road.
The burglaries were reported Saturday afternoon.
A window was broken at each camp over the past month, apparently allowing intruders to gain entry, according to Sheriff Scott Nichols Sr.
The owners live out of town.
Deputy Alan Elmes and Sgt. Nathan Bean each responded separately to the burglary reports, but worked together to gather evidence at each burglary.
Five animal mounts, a backpack, 200 DVDs and some power tools were reported stolen from one camp, according to Nichols.
It was not known Monday what was taken from the second camp, but evidence was left at the scene.
Nichols said investigators believe both burglaries were the work of the same person or people.
