LEWISTON — Tri-County Mental Health Services announces the appointment of Henry Skinner, MD, to the position of medical director. He officially joined the Tri-County staff Monday, July 16.
Skinner most recently served as president of Family Psychiatry of Maine and as a staff child and adolescent psychiatrist at Sweetser. He is president of the Maine Association of Psychiatric Physicians, the Maine District Chapter of the American Psychiatric Association and secretary of the Maine Council of Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists. He continues to teach trainees at Maine Medical Center Child Psychiatry Program on fetal alcohol spectrum disorders.
Skinner has worked in children’s mental health since 1988. He came to Maine in 2008 as a fellow in child and adolescent psychiatry at Maine Medical Center. He is certified in CITI Human Subjects Protection and is trained in Multifamily Group Problem Solving Intervention. He is a Diplomate in General Psychiatry and in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
