When I began talking with people at the beginning of this political season, Ned Claxton’s name kept coming up as someone to meet. Word was that he is a kind and reasonable person looking to make positive changes at the state level.
I was reserved at first, knowing that people are often not who they seem, especially on a political level. After listening to Claxton talk at several different events about the need for medical reform, his concerns about job and wage growth in the state of Maine and his desire to bring about compromise at the state level, he is who I want representing me in Augusta.
Ned Claxton’s ability to actively listen and then respond in a thoughtful, compassionate way is not only what I want my state senator to bring to Augusta, it is something Maine desperately needs.
