AUBURN — The Lewiston-Auburn Rotary Club will hold its next meeting from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 2, at the Village Inn, 165 High St. Guest speaker will be Adilah Muhammad.
Muhammad is vice chair of L/A Arts and coordinates programs for the L/A Arts gallery and Downstage. She also serves on the board of Raise Op Housing Cooperative and Maine Community Foundation. She lives in Lewiston with her husband and three sons.
Her areas of interest include the intersection of the arts in movements for social justice and equity. As a strategic planning and research consultant, she works closely with public and nonprofit organizations throughout the state to develop creative opportunities for interorganizational collaboration. She has found that the arts is the one common denominator that connects all of her work.
Guests are welcome and no reservations are required. Lunch will be available at the restaurant. For more information, contact club president Thomas MacDonald at 207-333-4588, go to Facebook or www.lewistonauburnrotary.org.
