JAY — Police are investigating vandalism to four stop signs and two mailboxes, the majority of them in East Jay, Sgt. Russell Adams said Thursday.
Four stops signs were either pulled up or bent and damaged, he said. Most of them were in area of Warren Hill and East Jay roads. Two mailboxes were damaged on Plaisted Road.
The vandalism occurred sometime Wednesday night, Adams said.
The Public Works Department replaced the stops signs by Thursday morning, Adams said.
Anyone with information on the incidents is asked to call the Jay Police Department at 207-897-6766.
