Health care issues have been of concern for a long time. The foundation for the government helping people was laid as far back as President Franklin D. Roosevelt.

Families are not as close knit as they once were. It is a changing world. Home health care is needed now, more than ever. People are faced with situations that challenge the current health care resources, its flexibility and adequacy, especially for veterans who have worked and fought for this country. They are deserving of a good level of care and comfort.

Funding of state services has been a priority and should continue to be a focal point for the future, easing the burden of the federal government while operating closer to home and closer to the people in need.

I would encourage everyone to look to this coming November election and vote for a bill that will strengthen an individual’s health care options.
