DENMARK — The Denmark Arts Center is featuring two special shows for early August. Steven Ragatz, a virtuoso juggler and circus artist, makes an appearance at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 10, and Blue Bus rolls into town for a show at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11.

Ragatz will perform gravity-defying acts and share eclectic stories from his world-wide circus adventures during his show, “Under the Umbrella, Life Is A Circus.” Hailed by the San Francisco Examiner as “impressive,” Ragatz has been entertaining audiences with his juggling, physical comedy, circus arts and general antics for the past three decades. He has toured throughout North, South and Central America as well as Asia and Europe, performing multiple juggling acts and an eclectic array of characters.

The locally acclaimed and creative band Blue Bus brings their energetic mix of original tunes, old-time, gypsy, reggae and funk. They finish off their summer tour at the Arts Center.

Tickets to see either show are available for $15 for adults, $12 for seniors (65-plus), and $8 for kids (under 18). All tickets are general admission; members receive priority seating. Lobby and concessions open at 7 p.m. Purchasing tickets in advance is strongly recommended.

The Denmark Arts Center is located at 50 West Main St., 30 minutes from North Conway, New Hampshire, and one hour from Portland and Lewiston. To purchase tickets or for more information, visit www.DenmarkArts.org or call the Denmark Arts Center box office at 207-452-2412.
