Greene church celebrating 1793 birth
GREENE — Baptist Church of Greene will celebrates its 225 anniversary with a celebration service at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 12, at 102 Main St.
It will be followed by a luncheon. All are welcome to attend.
Drumming group making a beat
LEWISTON — The Hand Drumming Group plays from 1 to 3 p.m. on the second Sunday of the month, at Trinity Church, 247 Bates St.
All levels and styles of drummers can play, and they can bring their own instrument or try one of the club’s drums. The cost to play is by donation.
Society to tour Grenier’s garden
MINOT — The Minot Historical Society will tour Pauline Grenier’s gardens at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, on North Verrill Road.
Following the tour, the society will have a short meeting followed by a picnic lunch. Beverages will be provided; those attending should bring their own lunch.
‘Simply Healthy Cooking’ at cafe
LEWISTON — The Ark & Olive Branch Cafe will offer “Simply Healthy Cooking” presented by Martin Raj at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, at 791 Lisbon St.
