NORWAY — The Maine Climate Table, in partnership with GrowSmart Maine and the Center for an Ecology-Based Economy, will present a climate change communication workshop from 8 a.m. to noon Thursday, Aug. 16.
Based on extensive Maine-specific social research conducted by a team of strategic communication professionals, this half-day training workshop includes information on modern brain science, as well as findings on how to shift opinion and move audiences to action. Attendees will be led through a multimedia presentation with plenty of time for discussion and practice.
This workshop is intended for anyone concerned about being able to effectively communicate about this critical and often confusing issue, especially in Maine.
All are welcome, no prior experience with communications necessary. All trainees who complete the training workshop will receive the print edition of “Communicating with Mainers on Climate Change Toolkit.”
