RUMFORD — The third annual River Valley Memorial Flag Football 7-on-7 tournament will take place on Saturday, August 11.
Games will start at 10:30 a.m. on the Chet Bulger Football Field at the Hosmer Complex. Players on the teams pay $10 apiece, or $70 for a full team. The winning team will be presented with tournament championship t-shirts.
This event is organized by members of the Mountain Valley 2011 senior class who were apart of the 2008 and 2010 Class B championship football teams in honor of Garneau, who passed away in 2010 following complications from leukemia.
Proceeds will benefit the Danny G Scholarship Fund. Last year’s event raised $1,400.
Good Karma Cafe will deliver lunches ordered by participants.
