LEWISTON — St. Mary’s Nutrition Center, 208 Bates St., will host the LA Metro Chamber’s Business After Hours from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16. The event is free.
Uplift LA will collect school supplies during the evening to help with the United Way of Androscoggin County’s Backpack Project, which provides much-needed school supplies to children at local schools.
Some of the items needed are backpacks, pens, pencils, highlighters, glue sticks, glue bottles, hand sanitizer (small bottle), single-subject notebooks, folders, rulers, markers, crayons, pencil sharpeners, color pencils, calculators, compasses, protractors and individual packs of tissues.
