LEWISTON — Police said a local woman was arrested in connection with a fight on Blake Street on Friday night after a car hit two people who were taken to the hospital.

Gabrielle Gosselin, 36, of Lewiston was arrested and charged with driving to endanger and reckless conduct, Lt. Dave St. Pierre said. She was being held at Androscoggin County Jail on $1,500 cash bail.

Police responded to a report of a fight at 182 Blake St. at about 9:40 p.m. Friday, St. Pierre said. When they arrived, they found two people had been struck by a vehicle during an altercation.

A man and a woman were taken to Central Maine Medical Center with minor injuries, St. Pierre said.

“There was evidence a vehicle struck them,” he said.

The incident was still under investigation and the names of those injured were not released Saturday.
