AKRON, Ohio (AP) — Bobby Dalbec hit a two-run home run and had two hits, driving in three, and Matthew Kent allowed just three hits over seven innings as the Portland Sea Dogs beat the Akron RubberDucks 6-2 on Sunday.
Kent (8-8) allowed two runs while striking out five and walking two to get the win.
Akron cut the deficit to 4-2 in the fifth after Andrew Calica got hit by a pitch with the bases loaded, scoring Ka’ai Tom.
The Sea Dogs added to their lead in the eighth inning when Dalbec hit a two-run home run.
Jake Paulson (6-5) went six innings, allowing four runs and seven hits while striking out six in the Eastern League game.
