FARMINGTON — In September, the Maine Writers & Publishers Alliance is holding a new workshop on revising poetry with award-winning poet Colin Cheney.
Cheney’s “Re(En)Vision Strategies” workshop will examine new strategies for improving the process of revising poetry, tailored to attendees’ poems and concerns. Additionally, attendees will receive feedback on their own manuscripts, exploring possible approaches to revision at the level of language, line, stanza and feeling.
The workshop will be held Saturday, Sept. 29, at the University of Maine Farmington. Advance registration is required to attend. More information is at www.mainewriters.org.
Colin Cheney is the author of “Here Be Monsters,” a National Poetry Series selection. He has received a Pushcart Prize and a Ruth Lilly Fellowship.
