AUBURN — Tom Kendall, chair of the City of Auburn School Committee, will be the guest speaker when the Edward Little High School Class of 1951 holds its monthly luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 24, at the Village Inn.

Kendall will present a detailed report on the planning progress to date on the proposed new Edward Little High School.

The Class of 1951 led by class president Robert Hefferman has been very active in supporting the high school chiefly through the annual Donald Gay Scholarship and the refurbishing of the Edward Little statue.

LEWISTON — The Lisbon Golden Reunion will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8 at the Ramada Inn.

The reunion is open to all who attended and/or graduated from Lisbon High School or Lisbon Falls High School 50 years ago or earlier, and their guests. People from classes from 1943 through 1968 are attending. The festivities will begin with a time to socialize, followed by a buffet-style dinner at 12:30 p.m. Music from the 1940s, ’50s and ’60s will be provided by DJ Mike Violette.

The cost is $30 per person.

The Lisbon Golden Reunion has a Facebook page, where registration forms and information about the reunion can be found, and connections with other classmates can be made.

The deadline for registration is Aug. 31.

Each year, in addition to donations, a raffle is held at the reunion to benefit the Golden Reunion Scholarship Fund. This year two scholarships of $1,000 have been awarded to Melissa Wood and Benjamin Leclair.
