OTISFIELD — A section of Route 121 will be closed to all through traffic from 6 a.m. to about 5 p.m. Tuesday to replace a culvert near Bell Hill Road.
Ted Talbot, spokesman for the Maine Department of Transportation, said the the closure will be about a quarter mile north of the Bell Hill Road. He said that the detour will allow drivers to use Poland Spring Road in Casco and Bakerstown Megquier Hill roads in Poland and King Street in Oxford.
“The detour length from one end of the work zone to the other is 28 miles,” Talbot said. “For thru travelers from Casco to Oxford, or vice versa, it is 14 miles.”
