AUBURN — District Attorney Andrew Robinson will speak about Maine Drug Court at 7 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22, at the United Methodist Church, 439 Park Ave.
Cost for the Auburn-Lewiston Rotary Breakfast Club meal is $10.
Drug Court is an alternative sentencing program that provides rehabilitation not usually accessible within the prison system.
Robinson attended the University of Maine at Orono before achieving his Juris Doctor at the University of Maine School of Law in 1997. He began working as an assistant district attorney in 1999, serving Androscoggin, Franklin and Oxford counties. In November 2012, he was promoted to deputy district attorney and took on the responsibilities of a supervisor while continuing to carry a full caseload of criminal trials. In 2014, Robinson was elected district attorney for the same three counties. He oversees a staff of 13 prosecutors and 30 support staff.
Robinson has been married to his college sweetheart, Yvette, for 27 years. They have three children, Zeke, Gabe and Charlotte. He enjoys fishing, hiking with his family and cheering for the Patriots.
