NORWAY — Carol Ann Franke, 71, of Otisfield passed away in peace surrounded by family Tuesday, Aug. 21.
Carol was born in Quincy, Mass., on Feb. 26, 1947, to Robert and Edith (Williams) Gallagher. She graduated from Weymouth High School in 1964. She and her beloved husband, Donald, relocated their family to Otisfield in 1975, where they established a home and raised two children. She prided herself on her home and successful career in health care billing.
Carol had a vibrant personality and always put the needs of others before her own. Her family and many friends enjoyed her humor, wit and beaming smile. She was brave and adventurous, and enjoyed travel, baking and fashion, but above all, time spent with family.
Carol is survived by Donald, her husband of 52 years; her son, Michael and wife, Annie; daughter, Michelle; grandchildren Michael, Katherine, Alexander and Mia; sisters Patricia, Lynn and Janice; brother, Robert; and many nieces and nephews.
