DIXFIELD — Auri Armandi scored seven-plus minutes into the second half to give the Spruce Mountain a 2-1 victory over Dirigo in a MVC field hockey game Wednesday.
Sophia Jacques gave the Cougars a 1-0 lead in the first half. Her goal was assisted by Kailey Hackett.
Brooke Buote scored for Spruce Mountain late in the first half.
Allie Dyke made six saves for Dirigo, while Melissa Bamford stopped five shots for Spruce Mountain.
Boothbay 6, Telstar 2
BETHEL — Riley Sullivan scored a hat trick as the Boothbay Seahawks defeated the Telstar Rebels 6-2 in field hockey action Wednesday.
Hali Goodwin had a pair of goals and Chloe Arsenault had a goal in the victory. Maddy Barter only needed to make one save for Boothbay.
Brooklyn Kimball scored both goals for the Rebels, and Perry Morton made 17 saves in the losing effort.
