PORTLAND — A former resident of Gilead pleaded guilty Thursday to setting a fire that burned three vehicles at a Lebanon business in 2016.

Jaymi Hutchins, 31, of New Hampshire pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court to maliciously destroying by fire property used in interstate commerce. She faces 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000.
According to court records, Hutchins intentionally set a fire Oct. 25, 2016, inside a vehicle in the parking lot of AC Provo Used Cars and Towing in Lebanon in York County.
The fire destroyed three vehicles, including a commercial wrecker, investigators said.
Hutchins was arrested following a two-day investigation by the Maine State Fire Marshal’s Office, York and Oxford sheriff’s departments and the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
