I “discovered” Bob Neal at a meeting of Farmington citizens interested in better education. Because of that, I became a regular reader of his Sunday column in the Sun Journal. So it was with great delight I read his column in the Sun Journal, Aug. 29, extolling the life of John McCain.
My heart soared when I read that Neal would have been very happy with a McCain/ Lieberman ticket in 2008 — my dream ticket — a ticket I would have worked for. Two Mavericks. But McCain, ever the rebel, lost his bearings and allowed Republican big wigs to scuttle his campaign before it ever began by insisting on Sarah Palin.
I enjoy Neal’s wisdom. May he continue to write.
