DIXFIELD — Visiting Winthrop broke open a scoreless game at halftime with all four of its goals in the first 11-plus minutes of the second half to down Dirigo 4-0 in Class C field hockey action at Harlow Park on Monday.
Moriah Hajduk opened the scoring for the Ramblers (2-0) just over two minutes into the second half. Bre Feeney assisted on the goal.
Maddie Perkins made it 2-0 with an unassisted goal at the five-minute mark, and Kerrigan Anuszewski scored a pair of goals at the seven-minute mark and in the 12th minute. Linsay Letourneau assisted the first goal and Perkins set up the second.
Allie Dyke made five saves in net for the Cougars (1-2), while Alicia Bridges (two saves) and Aiva Agri (one save) split time manning the Winthrop goal.
