BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (AP) — Deiner Lopez hit a two-run home run in the top of the 11th inning to lead the Portland Sea Dogs to an 8-7 win over the Binghamton Rumble Ponies on Monday.
The home run by Lopez scored Austin Rei.
In the bottom of the inning, Binghamton scored on a sacrifice fly by John Mora that brought home Patrick Mazeika. However, the rally ended when Jake Cosart got Gene Cone to hit into a double play with a runner on first to end the game.
The Sea Dogs scored one run in the 10th before Binghamton answered in the bottom of the inning when Joey Terdoslavich hit a sacrifice fly, scoring Ian Strom to tie the game 6-6.
Reliever Cosart (2-2) went three innings, allowing two runs and two hits to get the win. He also struck out four and walked two. Ryder Ryan (3-3) went one inning, allowing two runs and one hit while striking out one in the Eastern League game.
Jordan Betts homered twice, driving in five runs and scoring a pair in the win.
Will Toffey homered and singled, scoring a pair of runs while also driving home a couple for the Rumble Ponies.
