PARIS — The pirate-themed Escape Room fundraiser returns to the Deering Memorial Community Center on Friday through Sunday, Sept. 21 to 23.

Up to eight participants at a time will have 45 minutes to locate the treasure and escape a sinking pirate ship, solving a series of puzzles through careful observation, teamwork, logic and luck.

The challenges will begin at the top of each hour, with the event going from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday, 1 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, and 1 to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

The suggested donation for each participant is $15. Reservations and prepayment are required.

For more information or to reserve a space or time, call the Paris Public Library at 743-6994 or e-mail [email protected].

Proceeds from the fundraiser will help support the Deering Memorial Community Center. Upcoming events at the center include a performance by Steve Corning on Oct. 5 and an Oxford Hills Music and Performing Arts Association performance “Gift of the Magi” and “The Happy Prince” on Dec. 8.
