LEWISTON — Police said they arrested a suspect in the Aug. 10 assault and robbery of a Lewiston man.

Mouamed A. Mouamed, 21, of Lewiston was arrested about 9:30 p.m. Friday and taken to the Androscoggin County Jail, according to a Lewiston Police Department statement.

Ahmed Abdulle, 36, of Lewiston was found about 1 a.m. Aug. 10 lying unresponsive on Knox Street with a fractured skull, police said. Abdulle had been robbed and assaulted, according to the police statement.

He was taken to Central Maine Medical Center.

Mouamed was charged with aggravated assault, robbery and violations of conditions of release. He also had two warrants for his arrest.
