LIVERMORE FALLS — Nathan and Shanna Russell always wanted to own a restaurant but never had the means or time. On April 11, they purchased My Friend’s Place, 160 Fayette Road, and opened for business on April 12.

Shanna said they had no prior experience.

“My son always said, ‘You should open a restaurant because your food is so good.’ He was killed by a drunk driver about a year and a half ago and we started on this venture. We’re brand new, crazy,” she said.
