AUGUSTA — The Maine State Museum hosts the 16th annual “Bug Maine-ia,” a statewide celebration of bugs, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Maine State Museum’s State House Complex at 230 State St.

“Bug Maine-ia” is a chance for people across the state to learn how bugs change the world for better or worse. Featured at this event will be entomologists, environmental educators, foresters, anglers and other bug enthusiasts will gather to explain the wonders and importance of insects. Last year’s event attracted over 1,000 students and teachers.
