LEWISTON — The Central Maine Human Resources Association is putting on a program for employers, big and small, about workplace safety. The session starts at 7:45 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, at the Carriage House in Lewiston. Daniel Stevens from the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration who does recordkeeping audits will do the presentation.
The session will provide attendees with an overview of requirements for OSHA postings and illness and injury recordkeeping and reporting, including serious event reporting. Discussion will include what to do if notified of an OSHA complaint and briefly talk about resources for building or improving a safety and health program.
