PARIS — This week, Responsible Pet Care believes they have a cat that is bi-lingual — and can back that statement up with some facts.

Two-year-old Domino has done some traveling. He was born in Puerto Rico and was sent to Massachusetts as part of a pet rescue. He was spotted by a Responsible Pet Care staff member who was present when he arrived and he became one of the animals that was transported to Maine.

Being born in Puerto Rico doesn’t prove Domino is bi-lingual. There is one more thing to add to the evidence. One day a visitor came into the shelter and began to speak Spanish to Domino. She was also from Puerto Rico and they formed a connection. Domino, a very energetic cat, sat and listened intently to the woman.

Domino is lively, lovable and gentle. His fluency in Spanish may or may not be accurate, but after all, meow in any language is still meow.
