Let’s be honest, Red Storm and Thornton Academy are just biding their time and trying to stay healthy until they meet at Hill Stadium on Oct. 6.

2. Thornton Academy (2-0)

Trojans beat Deering and Lewiston by a combined 117-7, and those might be the two best teams they face before their showdown with Scarborough.

Who did the Scots anger to draw the two best teams in A North, Portland and Oxford Hills, for crossover opponents?

With a state-high 132 points scored through two games, the Rams’ triple-option is scoring regardless of which option QB Tripp Bush chooses.

Rams rallied from down 13-0 to beat Biddeford at Waterhouse Field’s grand re-opening with their backup QB.

9. Leavitt (2-0)

Unlike some of their unbeaten compatriots in A and B, Hornets have plenty of competition on the rest of their schedule.

10. Wells (2-0)

Warriors saw Class C Cape Elizabeth as their toughest competition this season, and rolled to a 40-14 win.
