FARMINGTON — Franklin County Animal Shelter is featuring Prince and Quackenbush as its Pets of the Week.

Prince is a 1- to 3-year-old male lab mix who is a high-energy and loving dog looking for a permanent home. He arrived at the shelter as a stray, so not a lot is known about his history, but he doen’t seem terribly bothered by cats, and he’s very playful. He loves rope toys, knows some basic commands and has decent leash manners.

Quackenbush is a 4- to 6-year-old male cat. He’s a mellow dude who likes cat naps and quiet time. Prospective pet owners can meet him at Aubuchon Hardware in Farmington.

Prince, Quackenbush and other pets may be visited at the shelter from noon to 5 p.m. Tuesdays to Saturdays at 550 Industry Road. Cats and dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption and have been vaccinated for rabies, treated for fleas, microchipped and have had nail trims. The shelter also rehomes barn cats, livestock and other pets.
