LIVERMORE FALLS — The October events at Treat Memorial Library will include a night of comedy by Teacher’s Lounge Mafia at 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27. All proceeds from the show featuring the local improv group will benefit the library.
The library’s third annual Patron Appreciation Day will be held Saturday, Oct. 20, and the public is invited to visit any time from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for free goodies. Join the Lego Club at 10:30 a.m. as they build their latest creations to display in the library. There will also be special crafts available.
Stop by the Spooktacular for some creepy fun from 10:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 27. Get all decked out in a costume and enjoy stories, games, crafts and treats.
The Book Group will continue its Great American Read series with “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time” by Mark Haddon. The discussion for this award-winning book will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11. Those who wish to have a copy of the book before the meeting should let library staff know beforehand.
The knit/crochet group will meet Tuesdays at 5:30 p.m. The group is open to beginners and experienced crafters and will also participate in Franklin Savings Bank’s knitted hat drive.
Preschool Story Time, featuring stories, activities and crafts for parents and their preschoolers, will take place Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m.
The library will be closed on Tuesday, Oct. 9, in observance of Columbus Day.
