I endorse Rep. Ellie Espling for the state Senate seat being vacated by my son, Sen. Eric Brakey. He is running for the U.S. Senate.
For eight years, Espling has served with distinction in the state Legislature. During that time, she moved into a leadership position and has been an effective and principled leader. She listens to her constituents and takes their issues to Augusta for action.
With her experience in the Legislature, I can’t think of a better person to follow Brakey in the Senate. I believe Rep. Ellie Espling is the person best qualified to be the next state senator representing Auburn, Mechanic Falls, Minot, New Gloucester and Poland.
Cindy Brakey, New Gloucester
