Aurore C. Cote

1931 – 2018

Auburn- Aurore C. Cote returned to our Lord on Monday, October 1, 2018 at home surrounded by her family. She was born to Willie and Alice (Roi) Parent in Van Buren, ME on April 19, 1931. She attended schools in Van Burn and Auburn but left school in eighth grade to care for her ailing mother. She worked at Newbury’s, Airtread Shoe, Bates Mill, and Allen Products.

She met and married Richard Cote while working at Airtread Shoe. Together they had five daughters. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a wonderful cook, enjoyed playing bingo, and cards (Card Shark as we called her). She loved watching birds, feeding her squirrels but most of all her cat Sophia (our other sister!). She enjoyed going to the beach, family gatherings and watching her great grand-kids. She cared for her father in her home and helped raise her grandson for 18 years. She supported her family no matter where our paths led us.

You are forever in our hearts Mom…

Aurore is survived by her daughters Susan (Steve) Page, Cathy (Rick) Lachance, Mary (John) Levesque, Janice Cote, Denise (Mike) Denis. Grandchildren Stephanie (Nate) Storer, Jason (Becca) Trott, Joshua (Mike) Palmer, Nicole Denis, Jessie Levesque, Great-Grandchildren, Alexis, Dominic, and Isaiah Trott. Sister Lilly (Leo) Ayotte, and Lorraine (Earl) Gilmore.
