AUBURN — The L/A Nordiques scored twice in each period to put away the New England Stars on Saturday night, 6-0. The win was L/A’s 11th in a row to start the 2018 season.

Sam Frechette opened the scoring just 35 seconds into the game for L/A, followed by Armand O’Keefe 11 minutes later. New England was outshot by eight in the first two periods and nine in the third.

In the second period, L/A kept the pressure on with Mike Keller scoring on the power play two-and-a-half minutes into the period. Colby Audette tallied his ninth assist of the season while Cole Oullette assisted his 19th goal of the year. Just-over three minutes later Audette scored his first of two goals on the day.

Audette scored his second of the game and eighth on the year five and a half minutes into the final period on the power play. L/A was two-of-five on the power play Saturday. Kyle Secor finished the scoring for L/A.

Daniel Miller saved all 14 shots for the Nordiques while Cedric Joubert saved 33 of 39 shots for the stars in the loss.
