FARMINGTON — A local woman is accused of assault with a knife.
Detective Marc Bowering arrested Erika Marchetti, 40, of Farmington on Saturday on a felony charge of aggravated assault with a dangerous weapon.
She was released on $500 bail from the Franklin County jail later that day.
Bowering was conducting an investigation into a domestic argument and learned a person had been assaulted with a knife, he said.
The person whom Marchetti is accused of assaulting did not go to a hospital, Bowering said.
A conviction on an aggravated assault carries a maximum of 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine.
Marchetti is scheduled to appear Nov. 27 in a Farmington court.
