Maine author Bill Roorbach, recipient of the Flannery O’Connor and O. Henry prizes, as well as the Maine Literary Award in creative nonfiction, will give a reading and discussion at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, at Bates College. His works include the story collection “The Girl of the Lake” and the best-selling “Life Among Giants,” which won a 2012 Maine Literary Award.
