MAINE (WGME) — The first wide-spread snow flurries of the season arrived early Thursday morning from Rangeley to Portland.

The National Weather Service reported snowfall amounts of:

  • 0.1 inch in Turner
  • 1 inch in Rangeley
  • 1.5 inches in Bethel
  • .5 inch in Andover
  • .2 inch Hartford

While the flurries have now passed, the big story Thursday will be the wind and the wind chill.

Gusts will reach up to 40 miles per hour, meaning there is a possibility of power outages for the second time this week.
