I would like to provide strong support for Janet Mills to be Maine’s next governor. While I was in the position of regional EMS medical director for Androscoggin, Oxford and Franklin counties several years ago, Mills was a strong force in our ability to obtain naloxone for police cruisers to treat opioid overdoses. That resulted in many lives saved.
That was accomplished in an environment of a governor who had previously repeatedly opposed and vetoed legislation to prevent first responders from even being able to access that life-saving drug, until his ridiculous veto could be overturned.
Janet Mills has been a leader in the struggle to reduce opioid overdose deaths and will be a leader for health care and many other issues to help all Mainers.
